The poster for the Jeff Wall film series highlights the individual films that influenced Wall’s cinematic still compositions. For the Werner Herzog film series, the poster deliberately confuses descriptions of the filmmaker with descriptions of his iconic characters. The Riefenstahl/Astaire poster contrasts different depictions of human body in motion: the athletic and stressed body in Riefenstahl’s work vs. the artistic and languid body in Astaire’s.
