MD was engaged by Airbnb to design an experience that would draw their global community of employees closer together. Recognizing that sharing is at the heart of all communities, MD developed one.library, an analog/digital library that makes staff-picks shareable amongst all Airbnb employees worldwide. [+]

Through the company intranet, each employee identifies a focused collection of books and records that capture essential aspects of the neighborhood, city, and culture they work in. Books and vinyl albums are collected into a physical library at the SF headquarters, while Ebooks and MP3s are collected into an internally accessible sharing site. Each employee from across the globe can give something of themselves and receive something from other team members, to both experience and build the multicultural nature of the company.
